March Handicap Results

Simon has worked his magic in record time and the results of this month’s Handicap Competition are available. This month only two runners posted PBs so both took the top two points scores with Colin Carpenter doubling his victory tally as he knocked a further one minute forty seconds off his time. The alcohol free 2018 is paying dividends for Will Lucas’ running as came within one second of Colin’s improvement to take second. Rounding out the top five Dave O’Toole, Erol Ali and Martin Steadman all lowered their Handicap times to score well.

Fastest on the night was Graham Robinson who finished in 25:07 with Krzysztof Zielinski second speediest in 26:47. Claire Rowse ran for the first time on the two lap Crowthorne course and with a string of PBs to her name will be one to watch next month.

With nine more rounds still to run the competition is likely to be shaken up once again on Wednesday 11th April. Can Colin continue his winning streak? Who’s going to show the biggest improvement? Which new contenders will set themselves a benchmark for ensuing months?

If you haven’t ran so far in 2018 its not too late to get involved and you still have plenty of opportunities to log seven good scores to count for the annual competition.  See you in April.
