November Handicap Results and Series standings

We really are heading into the business end of the 2018 Handicap competition and the penultimate edition saw 20 members in action with a number making sure they have a qualifying time for the Club Championships.

Jon Payne gets to keep the trophy for another month as he followed up on his victory last month with a 1 minute 10 second improvement, although he looks to have left it too late to challenge for the title. Emy Circuit posted a 1 minute 2 second improvement to take second place points ahead of PBs from Alistair Ingall-Tombs, Martin Steadman and Graham Kelly.

Well done to first timer Charley Bryant and a PB from Lottie St Aubyn. and Alan McPherson. Fastest on the night was Krzysztof Zielinski with 26:11 ahead of Mark Fallowfield-Smith.

Amazingly current series leader Colin Carpenter added to his points tally in the Annual Handicap competition but Andrea Vincent missed the run and drops to third as Martin Steadman jumps to second with a late push. Colin has the title wrapped up as he holds a 13 point lead over Martin and 15 points over Andrea. Even if either wins the December round they won’t be able to add enough to their tallies to overtake Colin. Everyone else is already too far behind. Colin is the only member to run at every round so far and has been rewarded for his consistency!

Don’t forget the Handicap also counts towards the Club Championship so even though the Annual Handicap Competition has been decided you can make sure you log a run to enter into the Champs. The final round of 2018 will be on Wednesday 12th December.
